Registration

Registration for Religious Education Classes for 2024-25 school year is now closed. For inquiries please email ccd@sttimothyparish.org.

Classes are offered for students in grades K-8th, PreK is no longer offered. Classes are once a week and begin in September and conclude in May.

First Communion and Confirmation preparation is a two-year process.

The recommended period for First Communion is 1st and 2nd grade.

Confirmation preparation is typically 7th and 8th grade.

**Second grade students that are missing year one of First Communion preparation will receive their Sacrament after a two-year preparation period.**

Students in 3-12th grade that are off of the recommended Sacramental timeline must enroll in the Missing Sacraments Program.

Missing Sacraments Program – Thursday 7:00pm-8:15pm

Saint Timothy also offers SPRED (Special Religious Education) Program.
The Special Religious Education (SPRED) Program is held bi-monthly on Sundays from 3-4:00 pm in the Parish Hall. We welcome all students with a disability. Please complete both the Archdiocese SPRED Registration Form and the St. Timothy CCD Registration Form You may also pick up forms in the parish office from 8:00-4:00 Monday-Friday. If you have any questions, please contact Cathy Edwards at spred@sttimothyparish.org. Matriculation for our SPRED program is ongoing.

Religious Education Staff

The Core Elements

  • The Sacramental life is central to developing and sustaining the Catholic Faith.
  • The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass and the Real Presence of our Lord in the Eucharist is the “source and summit” of our faith.
  • The promotion of frequent reception of the Sacraments of Penance and Holy Eucharist.
With these elements, we seek to cultivate the hearts, minds, and souls of our students to their fullest potential.
  • The Parents are recognized and respected as the primary educators of their children.
  • The dignity of the individual, as a unique child of God, is nurtured and developed.
  • The virtues are fostered and practiced in everyday life.
  • The Gospel values which teach moral life as expressed in the Ten Commandments, Beatitudes, Corporal and Spiritual Works of Mercy are professed, cultivated and practiced.
  • The importance of prayer is stressed as a source for growth in the spiritual life. Holy Hours, Rosaries, Novenas, personal prayers, and Mass attendance are stressed and encouraged.

  • We encourage a three-fold growth in Christ through learning about Christ through learning the faith (doctrine), prayer (conversation with Christ), and service (serving Christ through our neighbor-see Matt. 25: 40-45)
