Walking With Purpose – A Catholic Women’s Bible Study

Walking with Purpose is a Catholic women’s Bible study that aims to bring women to a deeper personal relationship with Jesus Christ by offering personal study and small group discussion that link our everyday challenges and struggles with the solutions given to us through the teachings of Christ and the Roman Catholic Church.

• Do you recognize God’s plan for your life?
• Do you doubt that God’s plan is the right one?
• Do you feel scattered and isolated?
• Are you a people pleaser or a God pleaser?

Beholding His Glory is the first part of a two-part series and is followed by part two, Beholding Your King. Combined, they form an 18-week study. Beholding His Glory shows us how all Scripture points us to our Redeemer, Jesus Christ. As we look at Old Testament people and events, we’ll encounter problems that only Christ will solve, needs that only He will satisfy, and promises that only He can deliver. We’ll learn to recognize and appreciate God’s awe-inspiring majesty and His desire for personal intimacy with each one of us.
We live in a self-centered culture that all too often leaves us feeling empty and dissatisfied. A fuller view of God and His glory is the perfect antidote to this, and Beholding Your King delivers that fresh perspective. Picking up where Beholding His Glory leaves off, the story of salvation history is continued. We’ll look at King David, select psalms, the temple, and many Old Testament prophets and see the ways in which they all point to the coming King of kings, Jesus Christ.

Opening Your Heart: The Starting Point
Dates and times to be determined.

This foundational course is designed for women who are new to Walking with Purpose as well as for those with more experience in Bible study! The course explores the core questions with which we need to wrestle if we want to experience all that God wants to give us. Questions we will discuss include:
• How can I conquer my fears?
• What is the role of the Holy Spirit in my life?
• What does the Eucharist have to do with my friendship with Christ?
• What are the limits of Christ’s forgiveness?
• Why and how should I pray?
• What is the role of suffering in my life?
• What challenges will I face in my efforts to follow Jesus more closely?

A DVD series on Priorities complements the course. Immensely practical and encouraging, Opening Your Heart is the perfect starting point as you seek to grow

The Bible studies will begin the second week in October.
